USRAH II
In the first class of usrah ii, we took some time out for an ice-breaking session to learn more about our new classmates. After introductions were exchanged, our instructor, Sr. Nurfariha, gave the class an insight on what were the basics of the concept of usrah. These were known as Arkan Usrah(أركان الأسرة) which includes:-
1. تعارف (Ta'aruf) - Introduction
It means getting to know one another. This involves the initial step of establishing relationships and understanding each other’s backgrounds, values, and personalities.
2. تفهم (Tafahhum) - Understanding
It refers to understanding each other deeply. This means not just knowing each other’s surface-level traits, but also empathizing with their feelings, thoughts, and perspectives.
3. تكافل (Takaful) - Mutual Support
It signifies mutual support and solidarity. It emphasizes the responsibility each member has to support and care for one another. This involves sharing resources, providing emotional and physical support, and working together to overcome challenges.
Entering a new class can be a transformative experience. With preparation, a positive mindset, and active engagement, the initial uncertainty can be turned into a rewarding educational journey. Embrace the opportunity to learn and grow, and remember you’re not alone on this path.
